Storage
Cumin seeds must be stored in a moisture proof bags or containers away from direct sunlight. If the seeds absorbed moisture, they she be re-dried to 10% moisture content. Storage areas should be dry, clean, cool and free from pest.

How to select
Superior quality cumin seeds have the optimum level of moisture (about 9%), free from foreign objects, dark green in coloration, and must smell fresh.

Packaging
Cumin seeds are typically packed in 55kg jute bags or 25kg pp bags.

Shipment
Cumin seed is packed in either pp bags or jute bags and are then loaded in a 40-foot container. Each container can hold approximately 1000 pieces of 25kg pp bags, which are equivalent to 25 metric tons.
